KADAMPA CENTER'S FAMILY PROGRAMJoin us for the next Family Program Day on Nov 10th at 10:30am, beginning in the gompa ▼▼ read below for more details ▼▼ |
We're so excited to have the Kadampa Center FAMILY PROGRAM up and running again!
WHO is it for? Children ages 5 years old and up are encouraged to participate
WHO are the leaders? Classes are led by Ali Burke and Tara Carroll
WHEN is it held? On the second Sunday of each month, from 10:30 AM - noon
WHERE is it held? Children and their parents and/or caregivers begin in the Gompa with everyone else. After the opening prayers with Geshe Gelek, the Family Program instructors escort the children to the Classroom Building (caregivers are very welcome to join!) where they participate together in the same classroom.
WHAT is it all about? The Family Program curriculum is based on the 16 Guidelines for Life. For more information about the basis of what the children will do and learn during Family Program classes, please check out the Ready, Set, Happy for Children section of the Foundation for Developing Compassion and Wisdom (FDCW), an affiliate of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT.org), Kadampa Center's parent organization.
While we're starting off slowly, we hope to quickly build momentum! If you have any questions or interest in helping with Kadampa Center's *new* Family Program, please contact: familyprogram@kadampa-center.org.
